Egypt: One Killed, Dozens Injured in Riots 29/07/2013
Cairo, Jul 28 (Prensa Latina) While a fragile tranquility prevails in this capital on Sunday, official sources informed about disturbances in the northern city of Port Sayed and clashes with Islamists on the Sinai Peninsula. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Health noted that a teenager was killed and 28 people were injured when members of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) taking part in a procession opened fire at a Coptic Christian church, where a mass was being held, and torched an automobile.
MB sources denied the story and assured that those present in the procession were attacked by unidentified men who claimed to members of the new authorities that oppose Islamists since President Mohamed Morsi was overthrown on July 3.
The marches by supporters of Morsi and their clashes, over the last two days, with members of the police and the Army, have resulted in 72 people killed and nearly 800 injured, according to official reports.
